Mrs S. arrived in Australia almost 8 years ago and
made an application for a carer visa that was rejected after 4 years she
changed her representative who made an application for protection visa
which was refused by the Department of Immigration. Oboodi Barristers
& Solicitors made a review application to the refugee review tribunal
successfully as a result of which Mrs S wrote: "As I express my
thanks to you, I want to say your kindness means so much more than words
can tell".
Miss R. came to Australia to study and the Department refused to extend her
student visa arguing that she had a "no further stay" condition
on her visa. The stated condition was later removed as a result of a
submission made by Oboodi Barristers & Solicitors. She wrote: "I
wish I knew a better way to say thank you - a way that would truly reflect
just how much your thoughtfulness means to me. You make it look so easy
but I know how much time and effort went into doing my case".
Mr A. had made an application for his mother to remain
in Australia permanently. The application was rejected on the basis of the
mother not meeting the health criteria. Mr A's mother did not have anyone
to look after her and Mr. A was very concerned with the status of his
mother. An application for a medical treatment visa was made successfully
by Oboodi Barristers & Solicitors that allowed Mr. A's mother to stay
in Australia and be looked after by her family. Mr. A Said: "From the
moment I consulted you I felt an inner peace and I knew that I would be
allowed to care for my mother in Australia"
Miss W. came to Australia on the basis of her relationship with a
Non-Australian temporary resident. Their relationship broke down and Miss
W met an Australian to whom she was subsequently married. A successful spouse application was made by Miss W and her husband by Oboodi Barristers
& Solicitors. She wrote: "Thank you very, very much for your kind
help and professional assistance".
